Welcome to our third Wednesday open meeting of the year. We provide competition across a wide range of track and field events, for all age groups, and attract competitors from around the country. Our events are open to all to enter, we grade the field competitions into pools based on the target performance you enter, and races are seeded accordingly as well. There are a few races where there are age group restrictions, but not many.
For our U11s we offer a reduced entry fee and they can compete in 75m, 600m and Long Jump events.
We also host regional British Milers Club (BMC) races at our Wednesday meetings. If you want to enter these then please go to https://www.britishmilersclub.com/fixtures/. We do have 800m and 1500m races available for the U13 and U15 age group separate to BMC, should you wish to enter those.
We aim to make our events as inclusive and accessible as we can and often have para-athletes as an equal part of our races / field card competing alongside everyone else. Please let us know if there is a way we can provide extra assistance, if you would like it.
Entry Notes:
1. Please ensure you pay when you register for the event, this is a 2 stage process. Any entries that are not paid for will be removed from the system.
2. There are no refunds or transfer of entries to another athlete.
3. We will allocate pools for events where applicable (e.g. Discus, Long Jump) as soon as we get an understanding of where the cut off distance will be. This is to allow as many athletes to compete as want to. Some field event pools still have a guiding distance for entries
4. There is a charge for parking on the University campus, this is nothing to do with the event organisers and you will need to ensure you have paid as indicated on the clear signage in each car park. Please make sure to park only in designated spaces. Any questions must be directed to the Loughborough University parking office or APCOA who provide the car park management. Charnwood AC have no role if there are any queries or problems.
